Javier Sasieta was born in the Canary Islands, Spain in 1977 and received his BFA (Cum Laude) from New World School of the Arts with a major in Printmaking.  His work examines the relationship between the organic and the man made while exploring the qualities that make us human and the potential for new life.  
Sasieta works in a variety of media including paint, ceramic, glass, wood and found objects.  He is an art educator with Miami Dade County public Schools and has also worked with The Art Center South Florida, Bass Museum of Art, Arts for Learning and The Lewis Arts Studio.  Sasieta lives and works in Miami, Fl.
